About Frank

Frank grew up in Fall River, MA, Born July 12, 1953. He entered United States Navy in 1970 serving in the Mediterranean and the North Atlantic onboard the USS Intrepid and the USS Nimitz as well as numerous aviation squadrons. Frank served in Aviation Maintenance while in the Navy.  Discharged in 1978 he enlisted in the Massachusetts National Guard, serving as a Supply Sergeant. In 1979 he transferred to the RI Air National Guard.  In 1980 he accepted a civilian position with the U.S. Army Reserves that required him to transfer to the reserves.  He served a total of 8 years in the Regular Navy and 22 years in the reserve system retiring in 2000 as the Command Sergeant Major for the 1378th Logistical Support Battalion. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeant's Major Academy.  His medals include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3 awards), Army Achievement Medal (6 awards), the Navy Good Conduct Medal, and the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (6 awards), the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal (2 awards) as well as many service ribbons.

He has a BA in Business Administration with minors in finance and economics from Roger Williams University, a MBA from Western New England College, Graduate certification in Financial Management, Life Cycle Logistics and Enterprise Business Integration.  He is retired from the Tank-automotive and Armament Command at Natick, MA as a Lead Logistics Management Specialist.  Frank worked for the Federal Government in various assignments for 36 years.  Frank has recently returned to the work force in a quasi part time basis.  His is a Logistics/Facilities Associate for Convention Data Services in Bourne, MA.  Frank also assist with Onsite Support for various Trade Shows and Conventions.

Frank is an Honorary Life Member of Clark-Haddad Post 188 in Sandwich, MA, where he served 2 years as Commander, 12 years as Adjutant and 3 years as Historian.  He is the Past Commander of District Ten and the Past Department Historian.  He is currently serving as the Department of Massachusetts Commander. Frank was the Department Recruiter of the Year in 1999, 2007 and 2010.  He was a member of the Gold Brigade in 1999, 2001, 2007 and 2010 the Silver Brigade in 2000 and 2008.  He has won three 1st Place Post History Book Awards, two 1st Place District History Book Award and a Certificate of Participation in the National History Book Awards.
